Teaching and learning steps:Step 1:
3、Lead in1.Watch a video (汶川地震) 2.The earthquake is very terrible. What were you doing when it happened? Help them answer the question. I was Sept2: Learn to read the new words of Unit 5. 1. Read the new words by themselves. First get the students to try to read the new words in this unit according to
4、 the phonetics given in the vocabulary list and underline the difficulties they meet. (自學(xué)讀單詞,同時(shí)標(biāo)出自己不會(huì)讀的單詞)2. Work in groups. Then give students a few minutes to deal with the problems they have in their pronunciation in groups according to the phonetic symbols. As for some difficult words, teachers
5、should help students correct pronunciation. (小組討論如何根據(jù)音標(biāo)讀單詞,初步解決疑難,確有不會(huì)的可向老師尋求幫助。) 3.Solve the problems with the help of the teacher. Get individual students to read the new words to the class, the others listen. If the students make mistakes while reading the words, the teacher let the students corr
6、ect pronunciations first . If most of the students cant read the words correctly, the teacher corrects the mistakes. Let the students read the difficult words.4. Listen to the tape and read after it.Get the students to read the words after the tape . Then give them a few more minutes to read all the

11、vative(派生): 在詞根上加前綴或后綴構(gòu)成另一個(gè)與原意略有變化或截然相反的詞.(1). 形容詞+ ly 副詞 heavy adj 重的 + ly heavily adv 大量地 sudden adj 突然的 + ly suddenly adv 突然 recent adj 最近的 + ly recently adv 最近地 complete adj 徹底的 + ly completely adv 徹底地 (2). 動(dòng)詞 + ed 形容詞shock v 使震驚 + ed shocked adj 受驚的(3). 形容詞+ th 名詞true adj 真實(shí)的 + th truth n 事實(shí)(設(shè)計(jì)

Then get them to work in pairs to spell the words or write down the words with the Chinese given. Underline the words they havent grasped.2. The teacher
